What is Paper OS?
Paper OS makes screen-free planning systems: 18 ready-made notebooks built around a specific job, plus Custom OS, where you arrange your own 120-page interior from the shared layout library. Every system is available as a digital PDF or a made-to-order printed notebook that includes the digital edition. Future Post letter kits are a separate physical product: write to your future self and we mail it back for your date.
Digital delivery
Ready-made PDFs are emailed after Stripe confirms payment. The email contains a private Paper OS link that creates a short-lived secure download. Custom OS files are normally delivered within 24 business hours after the completed design is submitted.
Printed orders
Printed notebooks are made to order. Stripe Checkout collects the shipping address and adds the configured tracked-shipping option. Tracking is emailed after the print partner dispatches the parcel.
Custom OS access
After Stripe confirms payment, Paper OS emails one private access code per purchased Custom OS unit. Enter it on the Custom OS page. Drafts autosave after access is validated.
Cancellations and refunds
Digital products and personalized files have limited refund eligibility once delivered or generated. Contact support promptly; print cancellation is not guaranteed once production begins.
Damaged or incorrect print
Email support with the Stripe receipt email, a description, and clear photos within 30 days of delivery. Paper OS will review print defects or items that do not match the submitted design.
Privacy and payments
Stripe processes checkout and payment details. Paper OS does not receive or store full card numbers. Paper OS stores only the order and fulfillment information needed to deliver and support the purchase.
Future Post: how it works
Buy a Classic (3 letters, $29) or Sprint (1 letter, $14) kit. Write, seal the pre-addressed envelope — the Forever stamp is already on it — and drop it in any mailbox addressed to Paper OS in Ashland, VA. We log it sealed, hold it, and mail it back in a fresh envelope so it lands on the date you wrote on the flap. US shipping and delivery only.
Future Post: dates and addresses
Letters arrive between 30 days and 2 years out; we mail each one 5 days early. Update the delivery address from your account until 14 days before the mail date. If we cannot read your flap, we email you and hold the letter as Needs info until you confirm.
Future Post: lost mail
Keep your guide card with the letter codes. If USPS loses a letter, reply to any Future Post email for a free replacement stamped envelope or a refund of that letter’s share of the kit price. We cannot replace contents we never read.
